been a year.. pero pag naaalala ko.. naiiyak pa rin ako.. at super thankful na kahit binaha kami, buhay ako at buong pamilya ko.. sama nyo na rin yung aso kong si bodie.. God is good.. =)
let me start by saying… WALA PA AKONG NAKIKILALA NA LA SALLISTA NA MABAIT, MAKATAO, AT MAAYOS KAUSAP…
just the other day, my patience was tested by a bunch of airheads from La Salle. Me & a group of college friends went to the big dome (araneta colesium) to watch the UAAP cheerdance competition. by tradition, reservation of seats is not allowed coz the cheerdance is the 2nd biggest event (next to senior’s basketball) in UAAP and reservation of seats will pose problems when thousands of people will be watching the event and cheering for their school. ergo it has to be on a “first come, first served” basis. it was 3am sunday and my friends were already there at the big dome so we can get tickets and be able to secure a decent seat. at 12noon, ticket booths opened and the crowd went wild. you can taste anticipation, tension, and excitement in the air, not to mention that it was scorching hot that day, a bit around 37 degrees celcius i think… so to cut the story short, we’re able to get tickets and seats. it is a norm that you should sit in the area allotted for your school and lucky for us, we found a seat on upper box a, near the boundary of the area allotted to La Salle and FEU. i have to point out that although it was the “boundary”, we made sure that we sit in the proper area, not invading anybody elses place or something.. we’ve finally settled. so while waiting for the cheerdance to start, we chatted to keep ourselves busy and to do some catching up coz its been a while since we last saw each other. After a while, maybe 20 minutes or so, a woman (at hindi lang siya babae, isang palengkerang babae) approached us. I think she’s in her forties or fifties, i’m not sure but she looks like an old hag, same like the witch in snow white, a very rich witch i dare say coz she’s proudly flaunting her hermes bag and she’s conversing in english and even asked us in english in a very cocky, rude & brute manner… “excuse me, what’s your seat number?!?!?” me and my friend didn’t answer; instead we brought out our tickets and hand it over to her, then she said… “see, wala kayong seat number, standing na kayo! this is our seat!” she’s even hurrying us to get out of there so they can sit already… we just looked at each other (coz we’re dumbfounded) and i shouted, “oh, di raw natin ito seat, umalis na daw tayo!” without another word, we all stood up and went at the other side. I even remembered charlie saying, “sige na, wag na kayo magsalita. lumipat na lang tayo…” i have to admit that i wanted to go back and confront her, make her understand that seat numbers are really not relevant in events as big as the cheerdance, its on a first come, first served basis. if you want a good seat better be there as early as 3am… but on the second thought, arguing with her was totally pointless and will be the most stupid thing to do… i am educated and i shouldn’t be acting around like a stupid person shouting and having a row towards anyone just like what she did… ayokong i-level ang sarili ko sa ganun.. and aside from the fact that she looked scary as a witch and i don’t want to talk to her and end up having nightmares because of her… so we went to the other side quietly..
on the other side, all of FEU students gathered there but there was this 14 people (i think) who got misplaced… La Sallistas again!!! arrrgggg!!! its not a big deal actually, seeing them there, staying in a close proximity with them (kahit na nagngingitngit na ko sa galit), not until this one lady from that La Salle group went out and called for a marshall and one of the event organizer. she was complaining out loud that the place was supposed to be for La Salle and they wanted FEU to clear out the place & leave. leave the place?!?!?! i couldn’t believe what i’m hearing… its echoing inside my head and making my veins pound! why the hell should we leave???? evidently, it was allocatted for FEU, our drummers were all there, our boosters, some members of our squad, professors, administrators, people from FEU management, students and their parents & siblings, FEU banners were there so why the hell should we leave? it is our place!!! A member of the FEU pep squad tried to defend us saying that this area’s for us. we all refused to budge a bit coz clearly it is an act of DISCRIMINATION and we’ve had enough of it already! hindi pa nakuntento ang mga taga La Salle na ito, they even went as far as calling the police. Aba eh gusto pa ata kaming kaladkarin palabas ng Araneta!
grabe!!! just because they’re rich & they’re the host school for this year ergo they have the license to harass & discriminate people?!?! really, what the fuck is wrong with you people?!?! just because they are from this so-called “prime” school they would just do whatever they want & get whatever they need in a snap!?!?! seriously, have you people gone mad???? haven’t you heard of the word humanity? humility? respect for people? pakikipagkapwa-tao? these are values that should be ingrained in that thick skull of yours since it is a fact that you are from a catholic school. you do bible readings, catechism, catholicism is a big part of your curriculum as early as kinder school so what the fuck is wrong? haven’t you learned a thing? most of the teachers and professors in your school are priests or brothers of a congregation, haven’t they taught you well? well enough for you to act like human or to just even pretend that your humanity is still intact? i was and still extremely disappointed… it just proved to every people present in the event and who have witnessed how you guys practiced your “influence” and “power” to harass those people whom you believe to be from the so-called “lower” circle, the ones you brand as “squatter” that you’re nothing but a bunch of airheads, using bravado & your money to get anything & to get away with anything.. yeah that’s you, loud, puno lang ng yabang pero walang galing… well, some of you can be smart but i’d rather be humble & humane that everybody around me loves me, than be an arrogant fool, rich and a smart-ass maybe but everybody thinks of me as a jerk and wouldn’t want to be close to me, for them i’m an annoying asshole, cocky and irritating and they all want me dead…
i pity you guys, money is not everything… fame & power is pointless… arrogance is nothing… you don’t know a thing about respect ergo you’re not entitled for it.. you don’t know a thing about life therefore you’re not deserving of it..
BATO-BATO SA LANGIT ANG TAMAAN, GUILTY!!!
